Hey Mark,

Im a drummer in a cover band that’s on the verge of losing its bassist. Im 40, we have 2 guitarists, both around your age, give or take, and a singer She’s very very good, and we aren’t too bad ourselves. We’re playing the basic cover songs, like some Led Zep, Tom Petty, Skynnrd, etc. all the usual bar stuff, but we also throw in a little Rush and some more contemporary things by the Killers and the like.

We just want get out and gig a few times a month, have some laughs and possibly get into doing weddings. No reason we cant make money at this! We all have day jobs, families, etc. But we do take it seriously, and need to practice at least once a week, usually on a Friday night at a studio, where we share the cost. After practice, its cheeseburgers at a diner, or maybe a beer at a bar. Whatever.

Anyway, if your interested in jamming, drop me a line and we’ll see if we can work something out.

I am 35 yrs old, been playing bass for 20 yrs. Took off 9 yrs from playing professionally to join the Coast Guard, and now that I am out I am eager to get back into it again. I have live/studio experience. A quick learner, have a great ear, and have played in a variety of original and cover bands. Some of the styles concerning originals: Helped arrange and write for Punk/Reggae, 11 piece funk band, Heavy Metal, Blues,R&B, female folk/rock bands, experimental jazz/rock, psychedelic rock,& Alternative. Cover bands range from classic rock bands, pop, folk, alternative, reggae.

Anyhow, if you have any questions shoot away, and I will do my best to answer any you might have. Thanks.
