Have any of you guys hooked up with a band yet.

We are 3 guys in our mid-40's and later looking for a guitar player.  Keyboardist sings lead and plays some guitar.  Bass player and drummer round out the group.  We have all been out of the business for 20+ years getting back into it.  We are coming along pretty quick (Comes right back) but can't find an age appropriate guitarist with a compatible personality (we are engineers - we like to think things through).  Don't need a lead as much as someone who can fill in the holes.

We are currently leaning towards the high energy party band, semi-covers of 60's, 70's, etc stuff.  We decide on songs, learn them on our own, then put them all together on Saturday afternoon in a practice room in Deerpark.

Hi George. We are a staten island based band. (is this too far for you), This is a part time fun yet professional situation. I seek competent mature players between 40 and 50+ years old. Gigs will be local New Jersey/New York bars and clubs... and weekends only, so day jobbers are perfect. Weekly practice 'till a set list is complete, then bi-weekly if desired. Must have good equipment and transportation. Live rehearsal studio demo + picture + press kit = the gigs. no beginners.
