Rebuilding The Origginators(need drums, guitar, female vocals)

After a nice modestly successful run with the most recent line up "The Origginators" are looking for a few dedicated musicians to rebuild and gear up for a busy spring/summer in 2011. We're a fairly established mostly original roots, rock, and soul band that has done pretty well performing mostly on LI through the years with the occasional city gig on the schedule. The band has traditionally rehearsed on average of once a week with the occasional extra practice thrown in for preparation of a heavy gig schedule. We do ask any interested musicians to please not be committed to any other projects that may conflict with our schedule. We have lots of influences(too many to name), but for an idea of our musical style log onto www.myspace.com/theorigginators.
So the musicians we are looking for are:
1. A solid drummer with the emphasis on solid. A steady timekeeper who knows how to play dynamically would be an ideal fit for us.
2. A female vocalist. The most recent line up featured both male and female lead vocals and it really helped to define the sound of The Origginators. We're looking for a female vocalist with soul and charisma that doesn't mind singing back ups and harmonies along with plenty of lead vocals.
3. A lead/rhythm guitarist that knows how to put the song first. Not looking for another singer/songwriter, Yngwie Malmsteen, or Jimi Hendrix wannabe - just a good all around tasty, soulful guitarist who loves to play the guitar. Slide guitar is a plus but not necessary.

The 3 remaining members of the band range from 33-40, have day jobs, and no delusions about being the next Rolling Stones. We're just looking to be a steadily working band that gets some local recognition and gets to record/release the occasional CD.

Males and females of all races are welcome to audition. For the purpose of common ground it probably would be best if you were between 27 and 42, but there is certainly no age requirement. We're looking forward to hearing from those who may be interested.
