Hello, everyone!

I am a singer, guitarist ( electric and acoustic ), and songwriter seeking a drummer. I play mostly rock, and also alternative, jazz, soul, indie, doom, folk, and progressive rock, kinda in the same vein as Jeff Buckley, Anathema, Steven Wilson, Radiohead, Interpol, Katatonia, Nick Drake, Badly Drawn Boy, Black Sabbath, Civil Wars, Devin Townsend, Iron and Wine, Jimi Hendrix, Eric Clapton, John Butler, Mumford and Sons, Tom Waits, Marvin Gaye, Mogwai, Muse, Nirvana, A Perfect Circle, Pink Floyd, Opeth's acoustic work, Red Hot Cili Peppers, Red Sparowes, Seal, Sigur Ros, Ulver, and others I'm sure.

I'm not interested in covering a whole lot of songs, but I'm also not against playing open mic nights and occasions where you mostly have to play covers. I have written a bunch of songs, have a lot of ideas, and have learned many songs. I am twenty four, have been playing for over ten years, and singing for over seven. If you are interested in hearing an older song of mine, that I have to say I have improved on since, look up the song "Your Heart Hurts When It Rains" on youtube. It's an acoustic song of mine that has over 2,500 views now, but I don't want to play exclusively acoustic music. My only exception for drummers is that I would prefer to work with someone over 21, who has the ability to practice a few times a week, wants to play shows, and wants to record in the future. I don't care if you have a big or small set, just that you can follow the occasional time and tempo change. I don't want to write the kind of music that changes every second and people can't dance to it or enjoy it, but I do enjoy music that can move and grow while still being followed. I'm a songwriter, not someone who has to show how much smarter or more talented I am than others. I don't like listening to that kind of music, so I do not have any desire to write it.

I don't want to just hire someone, I want to work with someone who is willing to work with me. Any money we potentially make, we split 50/50. I don't have an ego about this kind of stuff, I just love music and want to write great stuff. I'm a laid back, no drama guy. I have my own professional equipment and a car, and I will never ask you to bring your drumset to me, partially because I live in an apartment and don't want to get kicked out, but also because it's absurd to ask you to drag your entire set to my place. So, I will come to you or we can go to a practice space or I will come to you.
