Hypocritical Oath is a progressive metal band established in 2004, currently consisting of two members: Dr. Cream (frontman, lyrics, samples, art; age 26), and "Zen Master" Arrizza (guitars, strings, keys, general production; age 28). Equipped with an unlimited list of influences, they aim to make music that better reflects shapeless art while at the same time, making people aware of concepts they hide behind subconscious doors. A short list of influences on style would be: Marilyn Manson, System of a Down, Slipknot, Misery Loves Co., Pop Will Eat Itself, Godsmack, Disturbed, Metallica, Tenacious D, Flametal as well as many classical styles from around the world.
Currently searching for: rhythm/lead guitar, bass guitar, drums, keys/synth and even a DJ or fellow lyricist/vocalist (preferably whose specialty is deth growls, highs are my forte) for help with the writing process and live experience
Stationed in Medford, ny out of a small home studio, Hypocritical Oath is in the process of making their first EP: "The Sedatives are Wearing Off!" and promotes a creatively free flowing atmosphere for the writing process, and live events will be dark, energetic and full of theatrics!
