trying soooo hard to start an alt rock/pop punk band and FAILING EVERYTIME!!

Dani - Keep trying! Just remember to be descriptive in your ads: influences, age range, instruments you are looking for, etc.

If your friends are not into your music, you need to broaden your horizons. I know open mikes are a drag, but start going to places where the musicians are. Remember to place your ads in music stores as well.

It's a long lonely road...Good luck!!

Hi.

So... I've never been here before. Found this website on google.... Anyways after about a million attempts to start an alt rock/pop punk band on Craig's List I've decided to post here!

Like at this point I'm ready to put my ad on telephone polls..... It's that bad.

Anyways. I think a lot of people don't believe in wanting to "help out" because well, for one I'm a girl (well... young woman), and for two... the genre. It just seems to be not what people are looking for in bands these days. While that's great for musicians who get to have their pick of what they wanna do, it's honestly a tragedy for me. I have so many lyrics, and potential songs.... and I just want a chance..... and positively no one gives me a chance.....!! blankstare

Music is my life. I really really really really want more than anything to start this band, in the genre that I want... It just sucks not being able to find anyone, and having NO musically inclined friends. I really am at a loss for words here. I just wanna do this thing, but i feel like the biggest failure EVER.

Anyways, if you wanna help out someone who REALLY deserves a chance, and is like begging on their knees for a chance than email me at: xxhawthorneinredxx@hotmail.com

I believe that the single most pivotal element in your business success is your marketing. The second is working with the RIGHT people. So few website owners and entrepreneurs seem to give networking the attention it deserves! To have a great website, it pays to network with the right sites. In order to build a powerful brand that thrives off of organic Internet traffic, knowledge and quick strategic decision making is the key. At the end of the day, it's all about the people that you network with.
