Old punk and metal guy looking to play

I am a guitarist (Late 40's) and interested if you are still are looking (I can also play a little bass and keys if necessary). I'm in a band now in NYC doing covers and varied music but I am looking for something more in line with my music tastes (punk, post-punk/grunge, hard alternative, indie, metal) and more local (Suffolk). I can also sing backup and even a little lead if necessary if the sing is within my range. I'd be fine with rhythm work or lead, vocals or no vocals (no ego - just looking to have some fun and focus more on original alternative / punk rather than classic rock covers).

I have written some originals and posted them on iTunes as instrumentals (done before I was comfortable trying vocals) but do have lyrics and enjoy writing and recording with my home studio. (search iTunes under "Solutions Never Enough Time" or "Solutions Deadline"). Ideally I would love to do more original hard stuff!!!

love Green Day and all of the bands that have been listed.

who do you think they were influenced by?

one of my favorite Albums is Metallica, Garage Days Revisited.

Looking to jam and play, eastern Suffolk, but will travel if it is right.
