I like the way you are thinking. I am all about reggae versions of obscure tunes. I am a big fan of Bad Brains, Marley, Burning Spear, Augustus Pablo, Pablo Moses, Barrington Levy, Black Uhuru, Congos, Ernest Ranglin, Capleton, and many others. I have converted many tunes into reggae/dub versions. Do you have an email address I can reach you at? Maybe we can arrange a time to jam a few tunes - see how it goes.

Sublime, Marley, Jimmy Cliff, Barrington Levy I love Buju Banton, but as an artist I have a completely different sound. Instead of doing a cover of his stuff, I'd like to try and put out a similar vibe. Beres Hammond, Sizzla and Capleton probably fit into that category. As far as covers, I'd like to do popular non-reggae songs with some kind of reggae twist, i.e. The Richeous Brothers-Unchained Melody, George Michaels-Carless Whispers, Sade-Smooth Operator,UB40/Al Green-Here I Am, Marvin Gaye-Sexual Healing/Let's get it on, always open minded to making reggae renditions of songs that inspire me. - Mike

Mike-

What type of covers are you working on?

What reggae artists are you most interested in covering?

31 year old experienced drummer is looking to be a part of a reggae/dub project. I have over 25 years of beats under my belt. I would like to put together or join a reggae band. I am not looking to "make it", I just want to play some nice tunes and line up a regular gig once or twice a month. Looking for a great reggae vocalist, bass, guitar, keys, horns, etc. I would love to incorporate some heavy dub/trip hop as well. If you are feelin' this then send me a message and let's jam!
