Johnny Drama is looking for a new singer and perhaps even a new name to get a fresh start. The band is made up of two guitarists, a bassist, keys and a drummer (ages 30-40) who practice about once a week and play out about once a month on the north and south shores of Long Island. We are all professionals who understand the difficulties of balancing careers and families with our desire to make and play music.
Our set is made up of 50% originals/50% covers. The covers presently include U2, Weezer, The Who, Phish, Foo Fighters, Tom Petty, Oasis, Red Hot Chili Peppers, and Creedence to name a few. We're more than happy to vary these to meet your range and style.
We are really just looking for someone with a strong voice and stage presence, but who lacks the ego that usually seems to match those traits. We all contribute in the writing process and want someone who can contribute ideas and learn quickly so we can get back to playing live.
