hey drummer, kirei is looking for someone who can:

-play nicely with others : )

-play a variety of styles (rock, metal, indie, jazz, etc.), soft, loud, everything in between

-record/rehearse to a click track

-play different time signatures

-make at least two rehearsals a week (nassau/suffolk)

-have your own gear, transportation

-inject our music with vitality and new ideas

if you are a drummer who is...

-available to make two four-hour practices a week with shows in the near future

-able to do local shows, and short tours

-not a hired gun

-between the ages of eighteen and twenty-six

-ready to escape the fetters of the heartless and the mundane


we listen to: mew, the smashing pumpkins, nobuo uematsu, creedence clearwater revival, thursday, cursive, bright eyes, hyde, gackt, godspeed you black emperor!, blindside, iron maiden, yoko kanno, the cure, deftones, sunny day real estate, explosions in the sky, tower of power, enginedown, ben folds/five, stan getz, yes, dave brubeck, karate, bread, relient k, damiera, he is legend, recieving end of sirens, earth wind and fire, atomic fury, x_necrophilia_x, mewithoutyou, don't push joe, into the stew, kind of like spitting, etc. and are always looking for new influences.
we are just getting established now and have played shows in nassau, suffolk and nyc, with many more on the way as soon as we can get situated with a new drummer.
