We're looking to replace our bassist who just flamed out on us. We're 2 guitars, female singer, and drums, ages 29 to 40, playing all the usual good time bar tunes (Stones, Zep, Petty, Skynnrd, etc) and some more unusual stuff just to stretch a bit (Rush, Cream, etc)

We all have families and day jobs, so we're not looking to tour Europe or anything like that. We simply want to play, gig a couple times a month, and have some good times. We're really nice people, looking for someone who is dependable, has some chops, a team player, and did I mention dependable? That was our last bassists problem. He never showed up!

Anyway, if your interested in this kind of low pressure gig, and really just want to play some great songs, drop me a line at MRAIA1@OPTONLINE.NET.

My intent was not to ignore anybody. Maybe if you'd read the full thread, you would have noticed that I told Sal that I never got any response from him. It was a miscommunication. No harm, no foul.

Your position is interesting. 51 years old, and you still want to tour Europe, huh. Well, my so called Bourgeois Lifestyle, serves me quite well. How silly of you to make a statement like that! You dont even know me, or what constitutes my "lifestyle".
So perhaps you should stop dreaming about that great gig in the sky, and go back to flipping burgers.

Hey, look I'm just pulling your leg a bit.

However, on a serious note. Lots of musicians in there 50's, 60' and 70's are doin' great jazz, blues, fusion, rock music and touring and making a living at it because thats what defines them... they are musicians first and foremost. And yeah, europe and asia is where this stuff is mostly appreciated.
As far as me flippin burgers.....well, I've created a lifestyle for myself in the professional art field that would allow me to go out and tour if the oppurtunity presented itself.

So. its all cool wanting to be a weekend warrior, but just because its a hobby for you doesn't mean you should make light of the ones in which music is who they are.

Right on! I'm also sick and tired of these bozo's (who you'd THINK would respond and follow through on enquiries because, THEY'RE the ones that put the damn ad out in the first place) being timewasters.

And yeah, I'm 51 and and damn straight all I want to do is play music and hell yeah I'd want to tour europe. To hell with you're boring bourgeois middle class lifestyles............CREATE>>>PLAY MUSIC!!!!

I wrote to you over a week ago, FYI- I have 2 bands that I play with, One of which I started 10 yrs ago and is still going strong! maybe you heard of the Band "Maxwell Silver"?, the other is a newly formed Jazz band "NightMoves" so I'm not with out a band, I just have alot of time to play since I'm retired. I fully realize people have lives and a band is not high on the food chain if you work and have a family. But to many people place adds and never answer to your resonce to it, so it just gets me! "why place an add and not respond back to someone" I just thought you were one of those Ass*%#@*. But since you say you didn't get my E-mail to you I apoligize.

Wow. First off Sal, I apologize for not getting back to you, but I dont remember getting any email from someone with your name.

Second, I suppose that you contacted me a day or two ago? Well, people have lives, with jobs and careers to maintain, and though it would be fun, we all cant sit breathlessly by our computers waiting for responses. You expected a response, and of course your entitled to one. However, your being a bit unreasonable. Maybe in a climate where Bassists are in such high demand, thats the reason YOU are currently without a band.

Well, then, Sal....This is your lucky day!

I'm presently looking for a drummer, bassist and singer and if possible, keyboard player to start a simple blues rock band to start playing out this coming summer! I was in a pretty decent metal band in the past and am looking to start with just some simple blues progressions and see where that takes us. If interested, e-mail me at kcc83@optonline.net and we'll take it from there. Just so you get an idea of how my guitar playing is, here's a few songs I wrote a while back. These songs are more of a progressive rock style and we don't hafta get too comlicated.

Heres a couple of tracks we put together...not too thrilled w/the singer but it's just for fun anywayz. I'm playing rythm and lead guitar and do all the background vocals! Notice the 80's flavor in my music!

Dreams

Find Your Way

Give "Find Your Way" a minute to start!

I can set up rehearsal space in my basement:D
