I think your influences would fit perfectly as far as what the vision is for our band. Please check out the music, if you're interested email Shadowgatemetal@aol.com, and we'll discuss things further, as far as what we are looking for, and where we're up to in the industry totem pole.

Influences range from Black Sabbath, Randy Rhoads and EARLY  Metallica to more moderm bands like Trivium, Blind Guardian, but looking to do mostly originals, and can play any style we decide on. (as long as it's heavy...no glam or hair band stuff) I am also well versed in Classic Rock From the Late 60's -70's, (Hendrix, Cream, Deep Purple, The who, etc.)  I have recently finished an all acoustic instrumental album, and was in a metal band for many years before that, and looking to get back to a live band situation.

The last band I was is was a mix of Sabbath, Metallica and Dream Theatre, although I am open to playing much heavier music. MP3's availible if you wish to hear an example of my playing.

Guys, I'm a Bass player looking for the same situation

I want to be in an orignal band that comes-off like a cross between "Cowboys from Hell ~ Pantera" and "Warped ~ Red Hot Chilli Peppers"

I want to leave the audience looking like Elmer Fudd when the shotgun blows-up in his face

WOW! rich....we sound like we could be twins! lol...Good luck...I'm looking for the same...I was in a band once w/2 lead guitarists (the other guitarist was formerly of the Good Rats) and the harmony leads sounded awsome....just started turning out to be a battle of the leads after a while though...
