Long Island DJs Way to LOUD

Let's face it. An obnoxious DJ with ear destroying sound and an abrasive voice will irritate many of your guests and dampen the mood of the entire party. With a Live Music with DJ Service the musicians help you with coordinating the timeline, orchestrating the introduction and flow of events. Have the band leader help you manage your event, working with your other vendors, managing the guests, and crowd while making sure the right song is played at just the right time at a safe sound level.

We are looking to list musicians that provide both live music and DJ services on Long Island and the NYC Metro area. What to get listed? - Contact Us

As a lifelong musician and engineer, I've long been frustrated by the lack of awareness of the physics and physiology of sound amongst "professionals" behind a mixing board.

Nothing destroys your hearing faster than low frequencies. Earplugs will not stop them, walls cannot contain them, bass is like an earthquake in your inner ear, destroying all hearing receptors. Do your homework, learn the OSHA guidelines and accept that you still will not be able to protect yourself our the audience in most situations until more people wake up.

I really wonder how many ears Zedd has taken down:

Super star DJ and producer Zedd who was prominently featured in Forbes Richest DJs of 2014 has been diagnosed with a sudden hearing loss in his left ear.

Hello Everyone!

On our visit up to Long Island we had went to my Nephews Wedding. The sound was so loud from the DJ that I had to put paper in my ears.

These DJ's are hurting people! I think it's time for musicians to fight back with Live Music combined with DJ service with safe sound levels.

GREAT News!!!

John from LongIslandExchange.com gave me this URL:
LongIslandMusicians.com

I met with Don Keiling and helped him get started on this new page:

Long Island DJ's Are Bad For Your Health

Adults and children are commonly exposed to loud music at
weddings and event from DJ's.

The inner part of the ear contains tiny hair cells (nerve endings).

  • The hair cells change sound into electric signals.
  • Then nerves carry these signals to the brain, which recognizes sound.
  • These tiny hair cells are easily damaged by loud sounds.

The human ear is like any other body part -- too much use and it may become damaged.

Over time, repeated exposure to loud noise and music can cause hearing loss.
