I am a writer and an artist. I have been wanting and looking for musicians to work with in order to collaberate on some ideas and practice the use of my voice. I wish to be a part of a group that encourages honest creative expression, and want for the end result to be recieved as good.
Hey, Im Kieran, I played guitar and vocals in Monsters, but unfortuneatly we just broke up. The good news is that my bassist, drummer and i decided to start a new band that is in dire need of a good vocalist. We need someone with a good pair of vocal chords thats able to hit high notes (unlike myself). If you can play the keyboard well that would be great as well. Were thinking of a band thats heavily influenced by that old rock and roll feel, like Weezer, the Shins, or The Beatles but would like an almost ambient feel like some Coldplay stuff or some As Tall As Lions stuff. All in all it will be some pretty melodic stuff and so we need someone who can 1) create good melodies and 2) sing them well. Were Monsters an indie/Alternative Rockville centre based band in need of a new singer. we have a few shows coming up this summer and have songs complete but our current singer/guitarist feels that a singer with a better range would do the band much good. We are very eager for this change and ask that anyone interested at all please reply. Influences include Lovedrug, The Mars Volta, Coldplay, Broken Social Scene and Bloc Party. Singer must be willing to commute to practice in Rockville Centre at least twice a week.
