dude, you sound like you would be right up our alley.. me n my partner (guitar) i'm the bass player have been together on and off for about 30 years. we both have houses and families and have linited time to do what we love best playing music. we have our own studio in my partners basement unlimited digital set up, drum kit amps pa the works!! we both have a professional music backround n have played with known acts..mountain,frampton, bowie, to name afew...we're in our late 40's..well really early 50's but we kick ass!! rehearse once a week and play out at open mike nites..when we can find a drummer...still have connections and works waiting..we do roadhouse music..our repitior is endless...cream hendrix doors lou reed mountain clapton stones beatles and the blues we love the blues also have a million originals...we located in babylon off deer park ave one block south of sunrise...would love you to check us out at the least you'll definatley have some fun with us!! call my partner joey shep @ 631 539 4116  thanx jv

            I saw your post and thougth that we have similar ideas about to play.I'm female, 32 years old ,from another country living here for 4 years,playing for 15 years.I like rock in general,but I like more bands like Ramones,Pantera,The Toy Dolls,Metallica,Audioslave,Sex Pistols,Misfits,The Doors,Led Zeppelin........I play guitar and sing.I write my own songs.I just wanna play like you,there's no unreal dreams about to be a musician for me,only reality and that means : Still playing sometimes.So,if you want,write me back to :deskokados@hotmail.com .Anyway ty for your time.AlIcIa

i'm looking to spice up life a little. playing the same old classic rock over and over again is starting to get to me. i'm thinking rock, but maybe we mis it up a bit, you know? maybe some funk (even white guy funk!!!) some progressive, mixed with some straight-out classic. i just need more variety! i would hope there are others out there that feel the same.

here's the thing: i'm not in this for the money or to become a local bar rock star. i just wanna play—rehearse once a week and play out once, maybe twice a month. i have a job and a family, so i'm not going to be one of those guys that can sacrifice all for "the music".

i will, however, come to rehearsal prepared and enthusiastic. i show up ON TIME to both rehearsals and gigs, and expect at least that much from whoever lese would like to join me.
