Drummer Wanted! - band based out of Patchogue

We are a band based out of Patchogue.  We are all mid-20s musicians who gravitated toward Irish music in a folk punk band.  Our original compositions tend to sound more folk-ish, like Mumford and Sons. Our electric violinist  also plays in a band called Fortune and Spirits and is a full time music teacher.   Our guitarist is getting married next Fall, and he and the lead singer have a house apartment together where we will be practicing.  Our drummer is leaving our band on very positive terms...he'd like to focus on his other band, and starting a family.
We are not a big successful venture, but we do get booked fairly regularly for shows, roughly 3 hours long.
We currently have 5 shows booked in March.  They are at the Brickhouse Brewery, Fatty McGees, the Tilt and Kilt, opening for our friends Bangers and Mash at 89 north, and a Celtic celebration at Quogue library.  We usually get a few hundred dollars per gig, which we evenly divide, and free drinks (our favorite part!).  We do not keep a band account.  Although we love writing, we have found that the Irish niche is great for booking shows.

We are looking for a drummer to fill in at least until our March gigs subside.  Ideally, the drummer would learn upwards of 40 songs (mostly covers) of Flogging Molly, the Pogues, Dropkick Murphys, slower traditionals, and some of our originals.  Our drummer that has left used a full kit, with random auxilary percussion and exotic drums from time to time.  Example: the bodhrán, vibraslap, spoons, etc.
if you, or someone you know is interested, we can arrange a meeting or a practice for you to sit in on a few songs.  Some of our standards are Fields of Athenry, Galway Girl, Drunken Lullabies, Captain Kelly's Kitchen, and Sunny Side of the Street.
Please let me know more about yourself, if you are interested.  If not, please pass along the message that we are searching!
Thank you and I hope to hear from you soon.
